Can’t wait for you n’est effectivement pas un chagrin d’enfant! Ce deuxième extrait du 1er
album « Make it happen » (sortie le 15 mai 2020) évoque ce moment d’une vie où la
douleur force la solitude, le moment où tout peut basculer, où tout peut changer, le
moment juste avant un nouveau départ.
Le style autobiographique et l’ambiguïté de l'expression Can’t wait for you nous invitent à
une introspection.
Le quatuor à cordes nous éveille, la batterie fait battre notre coeur, le - silence - nous fait
respirer. Puis le bugle soutenu par le saxophone baryton et le trombone nous réchauffe en
amorçant la mélodie du Can’t wait for you.

Hawa Sow s’adresse à nous dans une rythmique répétitive où l’alto, aidé ensuite par les
deux violons, répond à l’acidité de la guitare.

Can’t fait for you.

Puis les cuivres sonnent le temps qui passe... s’en échappent et laissent la place au
quatuor qui échange les rôles avec la guitare. Notre coeur bat fort.

Le morceau termine sur une boucle de Can’t wait for you... Cet évanouissement clôt aussi
l’album puisqu’il s’agit du dernier titre de la face B.
